Head Winemaker Digger Hennessy has been making super premium wines in Marlborough for over 25 years, having won many trophies and accolades he is the ideal person to lead our dedicated team of professional winemakers, many of which have had vast experience both in New Zealand and around the world.

Our team, work closely with consultant winemakers from throughout New Zealand. "A number of North Island wineries that do not have a processing facility in Marlborough have found SCV to be an ideal place to base their South Island operations"

SCV has a very active heath and safety policy, the buy in from all participates has been excellent and the commitment in work place safety for our staff, visitors, contractors, as well as the public in general has been extensive; our efforts have been recognized by our work place being accredited to NZ ACC stage 1.

We invest substantial time and resources into staff development and training, including running a formal tasting program led by our senior winemaker. We encourage dialogue between your consultant winemakers and vintage staff directly in the form of presentation tastings prior to and following vintage so they can share their expectations and experiences and ensure your wines are treated with the greatest possible care and consideration. We also open formal tastings to clients and their winemaking representatives to facilitate the sharing of ideas.
